Easy Peach Sorbet (Only 3 Ingredients!)

This sorbet is creamy, refreshing, and bursting with fresh peach flavor—it’s the perfect dessert for hot summer days, plus you only need three ingredients to make it!

Summer Peach Sorbet

This is one of those desserts that I always make in the summer since it’s so easy to make and peaches are in their peak season. It’s so smooth and creamy, and you wouldn’t even believe it’s just three ingredients!

What You’ll Need

  • Peaches. Fresh, in-season peaches are always best, but be sure to use the ripest and sweetest one’s you can find. My favorite variety is from Chilton County!
  • Granulated sugar. I know it seems like a lot of sugar, but we need it to lower the freezing point of the sorbet base. Without it, the sorbet won’t have a soft, scoopable texture and will be icy instead.
  • Lemon juice. To cut through the sweetness and enhance the tart peach flavor.
  • Salt (optional). Not required, but I always like a dash of salt to balance out my sweets.

How to Make Peach Sorbet

This recipe really couldn’t be any easier! It only takes three simple steps, but here’s a quick breakdown of the recipe:

  1. Blend together the base. Mix together the peaches, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. I prefer to use an immersion blender for this step, but you can also use a regular blender or food processor.
  2. Chill (optional). I like to chill the sorbet base overnight until it’s really cold—this just helps prevent any big ice crystals from forming, but you can always churn it on the same day if you want to.
  3. Churn. Churn the sorbet base according to manufacturer’s instructions, then freeze for at least 4 hours before scooping and serving.

Storage and Make-Ahead Instructions

  • Make-Ahead Instructions. The sorbet base can be blended and refrigerated up to 1 day in advance before churning.
  • Storage Instructions. Store the sorbet, covered, in the freezer for 1-3 months.

Course: Dessert
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 1 quart

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (860g) peeled, pitted, and sliced peaches
  • 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt (optional)

Instructions

  • Using an immersion blender, combine the prepared peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and salt (if using) until very smooth and no more chunk of peaches remain. Alternatively, use a blender or food processor to combine everything.
  • For the best results, chill the sorbet base until cold, at least 4 hours or ideally overnight.
  • Pour the sorbet base into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions. Once a smooth, soft-serve consistency is reached and the mixture has lightened in color, pour the mixture into a loaf pan or ice cream container. Smooth the surface of the sorbet, cover with plastic wrap, and immediately freeze for at least 4 hours. Once firm, scoop and enjoy!
